5-Star Bars

I was going to make these for a barbeque but it got called off due to a severe thunderstorm watch and possible tornado! Ottawa weather can be crazy sometimes and that’s no exaggeration. So I’m stuck with these insanely delicious little squares of heaven…oh my, oh my, whatever shall I do? Eat breakfast, then dessert, then lunch, then dessert, then an afternoon snack…you get my point. They’re so easy to make and so freakin’ good! They’re very popular in Labrador around Christmas time but why not make them anytime you want? Once you melt an Aero bar your life will never be the same again.

5-Star Bars

2 cups graham wafer crumbs

2 cups coconut

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1/4 cup melted butter

6 Aero bars

Preheat oven to 350F. Mix together first four ingedients. Press into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan and bake for 10 minutes. Put Aero bars in a stainless steel bowl and put over a pan of hot water that is on low heat, as not to scorch the chocolate. Melt the bars and pour over the hot base. Cool and cut into squares.
